Domaine Simon Bize et Fils began in 1880 in Savigny-lès-Beaune. The winery is one of Burgundy’s most respected addresses and a classic Domaine that creates wines with energy, finesse and complexity that predisposes them to long aging with careful cellar management. There is a keen focus to harvest white grapes with good acidity and sufficient ripeness, while red grapes embodying fitnesse and elegance over power are sought out.
Most of the domaine's current vintages were made by the late Patrick Bize, who helped expand cellars and bought new parcels. Today, the winery is led by Patrick's wife Chisa and her sister Marielle Bize-Grivot, with his son Hugo next to succeed.
