Domaine Jean Tardy et Fils, Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes Champerrier 2009
The 2009 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Champerriers hails from 55-year-old vines in the upper part of the vineyard with gravel-rich soils. It has a slightly tighter bouquet with touches of cedar and pine infusing dark berry fruit. The palate is very smooth and velvety - building in power but retaining elegance towards the end. There is alot of concentrated fruit that brings a very pure and fresh appeal to the wine.
